Purpose of Lắng

Lắng is a cultural project and archive of Vietnamese intergenerational memory. The public website shares the project's stories, photographs, exhibitions, and activities.

Administrative access

• You must use a verified Google Account with an email address approved by an owner.
• You are responsible for protecting your Google Account and for activity performed through your signed-in session.
• Owners may change roles or revoke access to protect the project, its participants, or the system.
• Editors may prepare and submit drafts; only owners may publish content.

Content and permissions

You may upload or publish only content you have the right to use. By submitting content to Lắng, you confirm that its storage, editing, backup, display, and distribution as part of the project are permitted.

Rights in original contributions remain with their respective owners. Lắng names, logos, layouts, and original materials may not be used in a way that falsely suggests endorsement or affiliation.

Acceptable use

• Do not access accounts, data, or functions you are not authorized to use.
• Do not upload malware, unlawful content, material that infringes another person's rights, or personal data without an appropriate basis.
• Do not bypass access controls, disrupt the service, probe for vulnerabilities, or use the system to send spam.
• Do not represent drafts as content approved or published by Lắng.

Editorial process

Drafts, comments, review submissions, and revision history may be retained. Owners have editorial discretion to approve, reject, edit, restore, or remove public content, while respecting applicable rights and agreements with contributors.

Third-party services and privacy

The website uses Google, Convex, and Vercel to provide sign-in, storage, and delivery. Your use of those services may also be subject to their terms. Lắng's handling of personal information is described in the Privacy Policy.

Availability and liability

We work to keep the website accurate and available, but do not promise uninterrupted service, error-free operation, or complete content. To the extent permitted by law, Lắng is not liable for indirect losses caused by inability to access the service or reliance on public content.

Changes, termination, and contact

We may update these terms or change, suspend, or discontinue parts of the service. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms. These terms are governed by applicable law.
